Principal's Message
Dear Twin City Elementary Families,
The administrators, faculty, and staff of Twin City Elementary School are excited to welcome our students and families back for what promises to be an outstanding 2026–2027 school year! As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, we look forward to building on our accomplishments and continuing to move our students toward even greater success.
We are proud of the academic progress our students have made in recent years. Through the implementation of a systematic phonics program, a strong commitment to structured literacy and the science of reading, and our daily Bulldog Block for intervention and enrichment, we continue to provide targeted support that promotes student achievement. This year, our goals include increasing the number of students performing at or above grade level on MAP Growth assessments in reading and mathematics, while also strengthening student writing performance and growth across all grade levels.
At Twin City Elementary, we know that family engagement is essential to student success. A strong partnership between home and school makes a significant difference in a child's education, and we value the opportunity to work together to help every student succeed. We ask families to support their child's learning by encouraging regular attendance, promoting positive behavior, making reading a daily habit, and staying engaged in conversations about school experiences. Throughout the year, we will provide opportunities for families to connect with our school through PTO meetings, parent-teacher conferences, Family Reading Night, STEM Night, and other family engagement activities. We also encourage you to stay connected through our website, Facebook page, weekly newsletters, and Messenger 2.0 for important updates and announcements.
We are delighted to welcome Annette Worthen, Becca Hall, Jessica Southall, Jalexis Oglesby, and Reagan Moxley to the TCE family. We know they will be wonderful additions to our team and will make a positive impact on our students and school community.
We are also excited to invite everyone to our Open House on July 30 from 4:00–6:00 p.m. This will be a wonderful opportunity for students and families to meet teachers, visit classrooms, and prepare for a successful school year.
